- Ovaries and egg development
- Fibroids or other uterine abnormalities
- Ovarian cysts and signs of ovulation

Common questions
Do I need a requisition for fertility imaging?
Yes. We accept a valid requisition from any licensed Ontario healthcare provider, on any form, from any clinic or hospital.
Is fertility imaging covered by OHIP?
Yes. With a valid requisition, OHIP covers fertility imaging in full. There is no co-payment, no facility fee and nothing to claim back.
How much does fertility imaging cost without OHIP?
Follicle tracking is $230 and a pelvic or transvaginal scan $145, as on our cash fee schedule (October 2026, HST exempt).
How do I prepare for a sonohysterogram?
It is booked for 10 days after the start of your menstrual cycle. Drink 32 oz (1 litre) of water, finishing 1 hour before your appointment: you need a full bladder. Take two Advil 1 hour before, and bring a sanitary pad with you.
Which clinic should I go to?
Call 416-462-0064 and we will book you at a clinic that offers the scan your fertility clinic ordered.
What should I bring?
Your Ontario health card, your signed requisition, and a list of your current medications.
When will my doctor get the results?
The radiologist's report reaches the doctor or fertility clinic who ordered the scan in 24 to 48 hours.
